Every time on my way home from Hongqiao Raiway Station and Hongqiao Airport (and most of the time just simply from puxi in general), I pass the Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower on Century Avenue. People in Shanghai humorously and affectionately call these three buildings “Three-piece Kitchenware” due to their resemblance to certain tools in the kitchen.

On the day before commencement, a good friend of mine recommended that we check out this rooftop bar in Puxi which overlooked Pudong. The Oriental Pearl Tower has been lit purple for the entire day for us, the graduating Class of 2021.
